Phoenix, Arizona — The legendary Indian composer Ilaiyaraaja, fondly known as the Maestro, brought his “Raja 50 – Ilaiyaraaja Live In Concert” tour to Phoenix on Friday, August 28, 2026, for an evening of music, memories and celebration at Arizona Financial Theatre.
The concert began at 8:00 p.m. at the downtown Phoenix venue, located at 400 West Washington Street. The theatre appeared nearly full, with fans gathering to celebrate Ilaiyaraaja’s 50-year musical journey and his extraordinary contribution to Indian cinema.
