EVgo has announced a major expansion of its nationwide electric vehicle fast-charging network through the integration of Tesla V4 Superchargers. The deployment, scheduled to begin this fall, will integrate high-power charging units directly into EVgo’s metropolitan locations, making fast charging more accessible to drivers across the country.

The new EVgo Superchargers will support charging speeds of up to 500 kW at 1000 Volts, allowing compatible electric vehicles to add up to 200 miles of range in just 15 minutes.

Universal Access with Tesla Magic Dock

A key highlight of the expansion is the inclusion of Tesla’s Magic Dock technology on all new units. This feature allows both North American Charging Standard (NACS) and Combined Charging System (CCS) vehicles to charge natively without requiring third-party adapters. Additionally, the stations will feature extended charging cable lengths to accommodate vehicles with varying charge port locations.

Key details of the deployment include:

In-Car Navigation Integration: EVgo Superchargers will automatically appear on Tesla’s in-car navigation system, enabling seamless routing via the Tesla Trip Planner.

  • Rollout Timeline: Site deployment begins in fall 2026, with the first operational locations expected to open in the second half of the year.

  • Demand Surge: Consumer demand across the EVgo network has grown over 700% in the last three years, driven by the rising adoption of electric vehicles nationwide.

With more than 35 NACS-equipped EV models expected on the market by the end of 2026 and over 3 million Tesla vehicles currently on U.S. roads, the initiative aims to reduce charging friction for all EV owners. Alongside the Supercharger rollout, EVgo is also preparing to introduce its next-generation charging architecture, currently under development at its Innovation Lab in El Segundo, California, before the end of the year.
